In this webinar New World Economics (NWE) CEO Cliff Waldman explains the company’s new metric of economic power. The components of the metric are the strength of economic growth, the durability of economic growth, and the distribution of economic growth. All regions of the world and major countries within each region are ranked by each component of the NWE metric. The most economically powerful regions and most economically powerful countries within each region are revealed.

Key takeaways include the shift of global economic power towards Asia, relative demographic advantages in Africa and the Middle East, and Eurozone weakness. Cliff discusses the impact of the pandemic on the balance of global economic power.

The webinar concludes with a discussion of NWE’s power metric as an input to corporate decision making on location, supply chain and workforce.
